Spencer Carbine Replica.  Measures 8″.

First issued in 1863, the Spencer rapidly became the favorite weapon of Union Cavalrymen. It fired a rim-fire metallica cartridge much like the bullets of today.  It weighed 8 1/4 pounds, measured 39″ long and fired a .52 caliber bullet.
