Very interesting account of many women who risked their lives in the Civil War doing more than just nursing including spies like Antonia Ford, Belle Boyd, Nancy Hart and others, Soldiers like Malinda Blalock, Sarah Edwards, Cathay Williams and more.  These women were not content to sit home and not get involved.  They were pioneers in the women’s movement before it even began.
