Description
General Meade had commands in many major battles including Seven Days, Mechanicsville, Gaines Mill, Second Bull Run, Antitetam, Flamouth, and Chancellorsville. He commanded the Army of the Potomac from Gettysburg onwards, serving under Grant until Appomatox.
